Statement

The Institute for Social Research (ISR) is committed to creating, procuring and maintaining accessible workplace resources and research products. To achieve this goal, ISR includes a high standard of accessibility in our design, procurement, and implementation of information technology and in the creation and dissemination of working papers, websites, data and other research products, and provides tools and guidance to help implement this high standard. ISR aims to lead and provide a model for the University of Michigan, as well as the social science community more broadly, of how to use changing technologies and opportunities to make data and research accessible.

The ISR website is working to comply with the U.S. Government’s Section 508 requirements for its information and communication technologies and with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, level AA. In alignment with the University of Michigan’s commitment to creating a digitally inclusive environment, particularly as outlined in the Vision 2034 plan, we are working on following the existing policy SPG 601.20 on Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility.

Our websites are constantly changing. If you are having any problems accessing information on an ISR website, please make a request at https://accessibility.isr.umich.edu/content-requests/.
